Bristol Cycle Festival at the TF
This Saturday 11 September the first ever community organised Bristol Cycle Festival kicks off, with over 100 cycle-related events taking place around the city until 26 September. Full Festival information is available here.
As part of the Festival, on Sunday evening TheatreDelicatessen present a free performance of Pedal Pushers at the TF, telling the true story of Lance Armstrong, Marco Pantani and Jan Ullrich - three professional cyclists battling to become champion of the Tour de France. Drawing on interviews, archive footage and news reports, TheatreDelicatessen use devised performance and physical theatre to carry the audience through the mountains, the sprints, the crashes and into the intriguing dangerous world of professional sport. “In Pedal Pusher what Theatre Delicatessen managed to do with a couple of plastic chairs and some cycling shorts was pretty spectacular.” Time Out, Best of the Year, December 2009
Also… Come down to the Tobacco Factory Market this Sunday from 10am - 2.30pm for all the usual goodies plus a number of special cycle-related stalls!
