Tobacco Factory Theatre opened The Brewery, a brand new 90-seat theatre space, at the end of August 2009.
How to get to The Brewery from the Tobacco Factory
The Brewery is just 150m down the road from the TF. Turn right out the TF Box Office on to Raleigh Road. In a few metres, turn right on to North Street. Cross to the other side and continue down North Street for about 100 metres. The Brewery is on the left hand side at the juncture with St Francis Road.
How to Get to The Tobacco Factory
By Car (M5 and the West)
On Brunel Way (duel carriageway) follow signs for the airport (A38 South West bound). Turn left at the first set of lights onto Ashton Road. After 500m, take the right-hand fork onto North Street. Pass Aldi on the left hand side, the Tobacco Factory (red brick building) is next door.
By Car (M32, city centre or Temple Meads)
Follow signs for the airport (A38 South West bound). At the Bedminster Bridge roundabout take the A370 exit towards M5 South, Coronation Road, with the river on your right hand side. Follow signs for Ashton and continue on Coronation Road for approximately half a mile until you reach Beauley Road (one passed Camden Road) – turn left and then almost immediately turn right onto Raleigh Road when you will see the Tobacco Factory at the top end on the right.
By Train
From Temple Meads train station the Tobacco Factory is a 15 minute bike ride or a 35 minute walk.
By Bus
Bus number 25 or 24 from North Bristol, Broadmead, the City Centre and Redcliffe Hill stops outside the Tobacco Factory. Currently the last bus leaves the local Tobacco Factory bus stop at 10.50pm Monday – Saturday and 10.30pm on Sundays.
On Foot (from city centre)
Exit the centre on Baldwin Street and take your first right onto Marsh Street wich turns into Prince Street. Continue over the bridge and onto Wapping Road. At the mini roundabout turn right onto Cumberland Road. Take the fist footbridge over the river and turn right onto Coronation Road. Continue along Coronation Road with the river on your right until you come to Beauley Road (one passed Camden Road) – turn left and then almost immediately turn right onto Raleigh Road when you will see the Tobacco Factory at the top end on the right.
On Foot (from Temple Meads station)
Exit through the main station doors and walk through the car park and bus/taxi area until you come to the main road. Cross the main road and turn left. Cross straight over Clarence Road, the river, and then turn right on to York Road. Continue along York Road with the river on your right hand side until you come to a large roundabout. Take the second exit onto Coronation Road with the river still on your right hand side. Continue on Coronation Road for approximately half a mile until you reach Beauley Road (one passed Camden Road) – turn left and then almost immediately turn right onto Raleigh Road when you will see the Tobacco Factory at the top end on the right.
Parking
We recommend parking on street. There is also parking in Aldi supermarket car park (next door to the Tobacco Factory) but please note Aldi has a 2 hour parking restriction if you park before 7pm with a 4 hour no return period. If arriving in the car park after 7pm patrons can park free for the remainder of the evening. Please be careful not to arrive before 7pm as if you stay longer than
2 hours it will result in a £70 fine!
Please note that there are a number of bicycle racks at the juncture of Raleigh Road and North Street.
